Drivers are update to date according to Windows. I'm running the following iMac 12,2 with Yosemitie ' FULLY UPDATED ' I now have Windows 10 installed and all drivers apart from the iSight Camera seem to be fine, although I'm not to fussed about the iSight camera id still like to fix this, but my main issue at the moment is the sound.Then try to play something you expect to have sound from and post: sudo fuser -v /dev/snd/ pacmd list-sinks pacmd list-sink-inputs amixer -c0. Windows 10 is up to date according to Windows update app (had to use April 18 update as start version since the installation does not work with October 18 version). In fact, when a video is played the green volumen bars in the audio device driver properties move but there is no sound at all. Windows 10 Device Manager app does not show any problems with the drivers such as yellow triangles or red crosses. Run the Boot Camp Windows Support Software and everything is fine, Apple mouse & keyboard, except audio is missing. In addition, most of the drivers that are installed are fairly recent, mostly from 2017.I installed Windows 10 (April 18 update) on external SSD drive that can be selected on the iMac's startup. A pop up window will show and choose 'show package contents.' Another window will pop up with 'iGrabber OS X 1.4.6.pkg.' Double click this and it should begin the process of being downloaded onto your mac.

To use iMac as a second display for a MacBook, you need to enter Target Display Mode. On Windows 8.1, the speakers had their own entry. In Device Manager, the speakers don't even show up as a device. Then, it was upgraded to 1703.Īfterwards, the internal speakers would not work. This Mac previously had Windows 8.1 and was fine.
